NASA found, in a two year study, that indoor plants and flowers can purify and revitalize the air in our homes and offices. It has been proven that plants protect us from the negative effects of such common toxins as ammonia, formaldehyde and benzene. These are all found in our indoor surroundings in carpeting, walls, ceiling, furniture and even our clothing, to name a few. The plants below are known to remove up to 87% of these and many other environmental toxins. NASA recommends 2-3 medium to large house plants per 100 square feet. These can clean up the air within 48 hours.
